Percussion Ensemble

The Keene State College Percussion Ensemble, directed by Murray Mast and Christopher Swist, presents: “Percussion Music for the Theater”, an evening of percussion music with theatrical and choreographed notation on mostly found objects. Musical instruments will include butane lighters, squirt guns, bottles, boom boxes, buckets, music stands, trash cans, train whistles, cow calls, bags of water, and some tin cans. A few more common instruments played will include the marimba, tambourines, triangles, and frame drums.

Works or arrangements by Mauricio Kagel, David Macbride, John Cage, Glen Velez, Nathan Davis, Emmanuel Sejourne, Eugene Novotney, Larry Spivack , and Gene Koshinski.
