Dr. Cailin O'Connor, coauthor of "The Misinformation Age" presents a talk about how we form beliefs? What factors make us form false beliefs and why do they spread? Beliefs matter. Misinformation in the form of spin,marketing, or outright lies contributes to how we form beliefs. False beliefs can be harmful and dangerous. This talk focuses on understanding the social factors that contribute to the the persistence of false beliefs to recognize and try to prevent them.
