Self-Determination & Agency: A Safe Space Session
This semester, the Safe Space Committee is offering 6 one-hour sessions to help us achieve our mission of increasing awareness through education about issues related to minoritized sexual and gender identities and embodiments.
All students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to attend one to all of these sessions to build upon whatever previous knowledge you have about LGBTQ+ identities and experiences.
No registration necessary. For in-person sessions, face masks are required.
Throughout the series, we will focus on 3 different concepts (self-determination & agency, pronouns & language, and who belongs where) to delve a bit deeper to understand and support LGBTQ+ people at Keene State College and beyond. Each topic is offered twice.
Self-Determination & Agency
Participants will self-reflect on how individuals deny/allow oneself options to be their authentic self and how to honor our personal power to act in line with our truth.
