Healing Spirit: The Power of Remembrance, Reflection, and Reclamation

Suzan Shown Harjo (Cheyenne and Hodulgee Muscogee) is a writer, curator and policy advocate, who has developed landmark laws, led campaigns for Native rights, and helped Indigenous Peoples protect sacred places and recover over one million acres of lands. In 2014, President Barack Obama awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the United States’ highest civilian honor.
