Our first concert of the semester features works of contrasting epochs and diverse cultures. We begin with the early Romantic vigor of Schubert's Military Marches , move through Henry Burleigh 's powerful spiritual settings, and conclude with Bela Bartók 's rustic Romanian Folk Dances.
