Webinar - Regulation is the Root of Reflection, with Dr. Cassie Yackley

Thursday, · -

Regulation refers to our capacity to manage stress and to remain calm; allowing us to not be overwhelmed by our emotions and to continue to process cognitive information. A regulated arousal state also allows us to connect with others and to benefit from co-regulation processes. Strategies for regulation involve meeting the needs of our lower brain through repetition and sensory rewards that replicate early life experiences. This webinar explores sensorimotor interventions for regulating the nervous system for ourselves and our students.

Cost: $25, free for KSC community.

This webinar is the first in a three-part series, “Brain-Based Approaches to Managing Overwhelming Stress.” The webinar will be recorded and available for viewing for all registrants for two weeks afterwards.
