The Future of Public Higher Education: A Conversation with George Mehaffy and Harry Boyte
Keene State College, the Keene State 2013 Symposium Committee, and the American Democracy Project are hosting a talk about the state of public higher education. The speakers will discuss how higher education is changing, in terms of what students need to succeed, how to best engage with students, expectations on faculty and administration, and the role of families. The discussion will also explore how forces external to higher education are pushing for more tangible measurements for success, as well as flexibility in how students are taught, and collaboration between institutions. The role and importance of a residential college experience will be highlighted.
