CALLING ALL KEENE STATE COLLEGE LGBTQ+ FOLKS!

Looking to get connected with other LGBTQ+ people on campus? Interested in better understanding the various experiences of those who identify as LGBTQ+? Join us for a sense of community and connection at this gathering of Out & About!

This month, we will delve into the complexities of gender identity and expression. To do this, we will watch a video by Alok Vaid-Menon, a gender non-conforming writer, performance artist, and LGBTQ activist, and discuss its ideas and how they mirror, contradict, and/or complicate our own experience of gender personally and socially. We will be discussing themes of self-determination, safety, power, and meaning.

Out & About is a monthly social group for LGBTQ+ students, staff, and faculty of Keene State College. The purpose of this group is to build community across campus, generations, and identities. We do this by holding monthly drop-in social gatherings where we connect over our experiences and discuss the world we'd like to see and to create together.

This event is sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Student Support and Success at Keene State College.
