Out & About

Thorne-Sagendorph Art Gallery - Conference Room
Friday, · -

Out & About, a monthly social gathering for LGBTQ+ students, staff, and faculty of Keene State, will be meeting Friday, February 7 from 12-1 pm in the Thorne-Sagendorph Art Gallery Conference Room.

This month, we will be having an open discussion about what it means to exist and identify outside of society's expectations of gender and sexuality. What does it mean to be LGBTQ+? How do LGBTQ+ people make sense of our lives in the midst of a culture which pathologizes and criminalizes our behaviors, bodies, and beliefs? How does being LGBTQ+ inform the rest of who we are?

Out & About is a group for LGBTQ+ students, staff, and faculty of Keene State College. The purpose of this group is to build community across campus, generations, and identities. We do this by holding monthly drop-in social gatherings where we might eat lunch together, play games, create art, perform service projects, or do whatever else that the group decides.

This event is sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Student Support and Success at Keene State College.
