The Global Impact of Artificial Intelligence

Self-driving cars? Automated securities trading? Facial recognition? These are among the applications that are becoming reality due to vastly increased computer processing power that allows computers to mimic human cognitive functions. Dr Sibi Chakkaravarthym, Associate Professor at VIT-AP University in India will be at Keene State to talk about the impact that “AI” is having around the world. His talk will include business applications, the impact on business operations and jobs, ethical considerations and how AI will affect our lives in the future. This is sure to be a fascinating and exciting talk on a topic that will be very much a part of live going forward.
