Screening and discussion of Ava DuVernay’s 13th— a searing look at the history of mass incarceration of African Americans after American-owned slaves were "freed" by the 13th amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
Ava DuVernay is the award-winning director of Middle of Nowhere, Selma, and A Wrinkle in Time.
Post-screening discussion led by Campus Commission for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusiveness.
