Ordinary People - Extraordinary Choices: Voices from a Holocaust Family
Join the Keene State Holocaust and Genocide Awareness Club and the Cohen Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies as we reflect on the extraordinary times and choices faced by members of Dr. Grubman’s family – his parents, Simon and Sally Grubman, his aunt, Maria Warchivker, and a righteous Gentile named Fritz Graebe, with whom his aunt worked to rescue scores of Ukrainian Jews during the Holocaust. Their courageous actions and witness afterwards remind us that the important decisions we make on behalf of others are often rooted in the everyday values by which we live our lives. We bear witness to the timeliness and courage of their deeds reminding ourselves that we are all responsible the character of the world entrusted to our care.
