KSC Guitar Festival

Keene State College will offer its second bi-annual Guitar Festival, featuring faculty and guest artists in clinics and concerts, and student soloists and ensembles, on April 6, Saturday, 2013. Featured guest artists include guitarist Stephen Aaron, of the University of Aakron and Oberlin Conservatory,and flutist Jane Berkner of the University of Aakron, appearing as Aaron/Berkner Duo. Also appearing are members of the New England Mandolin Ensemble, August Watters and Charles Moser. Faculty artists include guitarists Ted Mann, Jeremy Milligan, and Jose Lezcano, and percussionist Christopher Swist. Students and faculty will perform in the KSC Guitar Festival Orchestra to conclude the evening's concert which begins at 7:15 PM, and registration begins at 9:00 AM with the orchestra rehearsal at 9:30 AM. There will be clinics on Guitar and Midi; Guitar Ensemble for non-readers; Latin American guitar; Improvisation; and Suzuki. Attendance is free to auditors; participants and clinic performers are $30; scholarships are available for NH high school students.
