Hold Policy

Why is there a hold on my account?

Students who have unmet financial obligations (including account balances, parking fines, etc.) will have a hold placed on their account which could prevent registration, schedule adjustments, payment of housing deposits, and the release of transcripts.

After students meet their financial obligations, holds are removed within 24–48 hours. Their account is now considered financially clear. Students with financially clear accounts may register for classes, adjust schedules, move into student housing, open a bookstore charge account, and/or request transcripts.

Any subsequent changes (including adding classes, cancelation of financial aid, meal plan changes, etc.), may result in an additional balance due on the student’s account.
