On-Campus Housing for Fall 2020
Using the latest healthcare advice and requirements to address the COVID-19 pandemic, Keene State is planning to re-open residence halls for the fall 2020 semester. Plans are underway to do all we can to protect the safety and wellbeing of our campus community, and throughout the city of Keene. This includes using housing spaces for single and double occupancy only. No triples or quads will be assigned by the College. All other rooms, suites and apartments will be occupied as originally designed.
On-campus housing is available for juniors and seniors!
Why Live on Campus?
Approximately 85% of U.S. college students opt to stay on campus during college. Many students are happier being closer to everything, and research shows that students who live on campus do better academically and have a greater chance of graduating.
Even as a junior or senior, the benefits of living on campus are many. Need more reasons? Check out these top 8 reasons to live on campus.

Living on Campus
In order to ease your transition to college - and increase your chances for success - Keene State College requires all first and second year students to live on campus. This approach supports significant research indicating that first-year and sophomore students who live on campus are more likely to be successful academically, socially and developmentally.
The same research indicates that after the second year, the positive influence of life on campus has left its mark, and most students choose to live off-campus for their junior and senior years, though some do live in our limited number of on-campus apartments.
Living/Learning Communities help create a more seamless transition to college life by providing an environment where faculty and residential staff work collaboratively to nurture communities where students can develop friendships and succeed academically.
