Job Description

Watts Water Technologies has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Plant Safety Manager at its Franklin, NH Manufacturing and Foundry operation (550 plus employees). This position will report to the Corporate EHS Director with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Plant Operations Director. This position will lead the efforts in the following areas:

Provide safety leadership for the NH operations including strategic safety programs for metrics, procedures, assessments, culture, and incident/injury reduction
Manage safety compliance pursuant to applicable federal, state and local regulations and conformance with company policies and programs
Interface with OSHA and state/local regulatory agencies
Coordinate and/or undertake industrial hygiene monitoring (noise, lead exposure, etc.)
Develop and implement strategic safety program to include metrics, written procedures, safety and/or risk assessments, and incident/injury reduction
Develop and implement internal safe work permitting
Develop and implement multi-prong, coordinated, and phased program to drive continuous improvement of safety culture
Conduct, or ensure performance of, internal safety audits and corrective actions
Deliver, or ensure delivery of, safety training (i.e., HAZCOM, Lockout/Tagout, Forklift, Cranes/Hoist, PPE, etc.)
Lead or oversee investigation of all accidents and incidents
Interface with the Corporate EHS Department.

The successful candidate should possess the following:

Bachelors degree in engineering, industrial safety or related area
7 10 years of safety experience with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment
Excellent working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety culture
Knowledge of proper protocol for industrial hygiene monitoring
Experience in accident investigation, analysis and corrective action planning
Ability to influence and interact effectively with all levels of the organization
Project and cost management skills
Appropriate professional certification and licenses (i.e., CSP, CIH, SGE, ISO-18001 lead auditor/auditor, PE, etc.)
Appropriate business qualifications (i.e., six sigma green belt, lean manufacturing, root cause/corrective action such as TapRoot or 8D, etc.)
Experience in ISO-18001, ANSI Z-10, or equivalent
Experience in VPP, SHARP, or equivalent
