Director of School Launch
The Director of School Launch will work closely with leaders of the Academics, Operations, Talent, and Finance teams to ensure all future UP Education Network schools are launched successfully. This individual will design a strategic launch plan and process and will create a set of analytical tools to evaluate future growth opportunities. The Director of School Launch will manage UP Education Networks Directors of Operations in Residence, ensuring they are ready to successfully launch future UP schools. The Director of School Launch will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Work with department heads of the Academics, Operations, Talent, and Finance teams to create a new, streamlined launch strategy and process that enables the network to launch multiple schools each year while ensuring quality and consistency across schools. The launch strategy will address the following:
o Developing network-wide standards, playbooks, policies and procedures to enable the network to launch several schools per year or grow in another district;
o Identifying specific support services the network office should provide to schools during school launch;
o Ensuring there is cross-department communication and coordination during each launch period;
o Identifying the data systems and project tools required to manage effective launch processes; and
o Establishing goals and interim milestones for each unique school launch and ensuring staff are held accountable.
Work closely with the Director of Strategy and Evaluation to design analytic tools to evaluate future growth opportunities based on internal and external capacities for success;
Manage Directors of Operations in Residence, ensuring they develop professionally and meet the standards of excellence required to advance and become Directors of Operations for launching or existing schools;
Ensure Directors of Operations in Residence are effectively managing school launch task lists by meeting key milestones and holding team members accountable to meeting deadlines;
Present, along with the Director of School Operations, professional development sessions related to network-wide systems to future school leaders; and
Collaborate closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Talent Development to evaluate each Director of Operations in Residence and work closely with the Director of School Operations on the successful transition of Directors of Operations in Residence as they launch new or existing schools.

4-8 years of work experience in strategy consulting, education, non-profit management, operations, or a related field;
Bachelors degree is required, masters preferred; and
Current authorization to work in the United States A candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment.
