Technology Coordinator

Role: UP Education Networks Technology Coordinator will directly support the organizations network of schools by providing on the ground technology support for the leadership teams and staff working in our schools. The Technology Coordinator will work with school staff members to solve their daily IT issues while at the same time partnering with schools and districts to push forward their tech initiatives. The Technology Coordinator will be the first point of contact for all staff laptop, email, Dropbox, and classroom technology issues. S/he will report to the Director of Technology and will be a member of the organizations Operations Department. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a customer service-oriented environment and willing to learn new hardware and software based skills.

Specific Responsibilities:
Assist in the set-up and deployment of all staff and classroom technology equipment;
Perform regular maintenance on staff laptops and classroom technology as defined by network technology standards;
Oversee the networks email system and perform regular maintenance as needed;
Work with the Director of Technology to support improvements to and maintenance of the networks shared server system;
Maintain an up to date inventory of all technology hardware across the network;
Maintain the networks ticketing and work order system;
Liaise with district technology personnel as needed, especially on issues related to wireless performance and student computers or learning labs;
Conduct weekly or bi-weekly meetings with the Directors of Operations (DOOs) at each school;
Assist the Director of Technology in providing training to teachers and staff;
Support the Director of Technology and DOOs in developing and implementing long-term technology projects;
Perform other duties related to this job description as required by the Director of Technology or Chief Operating Officer.

Current authorization to work in the United States A candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment.
