Site Health and Safety Officer
Perform Site Safety Inspections, Audits, Investigations, and Surveillance of construction projects for compliance with site health and safety plans as well as OSHA, DOT, and EPA Regulations.
Document and maintain records of the results of Site Inspections, Audits, etc. and present reports/summaries to designated parties.
Direct that work be stopped in the event of unsafe conditions and to have conditions corrected.
Conduct tailgate/toolbox safety meetings.
Provide technical guidance and training for completion of various job assignments and special projects.
Experience in construction and/or construction safety with current and fluent knowledge of OSHA, Environmental, and Transportation (DOT) Regulations
Capable independent thought and work
Good written and verbal communication
Good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and effort
Dependable, trustworthy, punctual, and respectful
Ambitious with desire to advance self and capabilities
Drivers license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
30 Hour OSHA Outreach Training for the Construction Industry
40-Hour HAZWOPER Training and current Refresher Training
Additional Preferred Training:
Competent Person Scaffold, Fall Protection, Excavation
Travel: Potentially overnight, daily, and weekly travel to worksites in the New England, Long Island, and New York. Expenses are reimbursed including mileage based on Federal Guidelines.
