Salary Range: $39,331 - $49,881

The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) seeks a LAN Specialist I to join its professional staff in Concord, NH.

The AOC serves as the business component of the New Hampshire Judicial Branch providing system-wide human resources, information technology, fiscal management, and auditing support for over 800 court employees located in 40 sites located throughout New Hampshire.

Adjacent to the New Hampshire Supreme Court, our offices are just off Hazen Drive approximately one mile east of the I-93/Route 4-9-202 interchange at Exit 14 (Loudon Road exit) in Concord.

The following attributes depict some of the expectations we have for our next team member.

Answers telephone calls and emails from users, enters tickets for requests for service, answers questions and solves hardware, application software and system software issues.

Performs some independent research with peers, vendors or the Internet to define problems and obtain solutions not readily available in the Support Desk documentation.

Must communicate professionally with court business personnel and judges while determining technical problems and possible solutions.

Specialized expertise relative to the installation, configuration, upgrade and maintenance of microcomputer based systems.

Well-organized work habits and the ability to perform a number of concurrent tasks.

Maintains the court IT ticket software with incoming tickets timely and documents processes for problem resolution clearly and in writing.


Periodically uses reporting application software to generate special reports from PC based applications.

Uses software utilities and tools to diagnose local and remotely located technical issues.

Travels periodically to various courts around the state to support network devices (PCs, printers, and some router/switch components.


Experience with network equipment, software and general concepts.

Maintains, updates, and performs performance tuning functions on network components as operations maintenance.

Knowledge of statistical methods.
