Environmental Health and Safety Specialist
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY SPECIALIST
The successful candidate will provide oversight and support for the Academys environmental, health and safety programs and initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Campus Safety and Compliance the employee will be responsible for identifying and evaluating occupational hazards, developing written EH&S programs, delivering training, conducting exposure monitoring and auditing compliance throughout campus. He / She will have a solid technical background, strong communication and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated understanding of regulatory oversight. The EH&S Specialist will work closely with campus personnel acting in an advisory role providing sound technical advice to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This position will be expected to respond to campus emergencies, incidents and other health and safety concerns. Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene or other related field preferred Associates degree with 3-5 years of related EH&S experience required. Full-time position, pay range 20 starting at: $46,052.83.
