POSITION: Shrink Factor Database Engineering Intern Summer 2014

Engineering Intern

Hitchiner is seeking an engineering intern for this coming summer (May-August 2014).

The internship will be comprised of project-based assignments to include but not limited to the creation of a universal shrink factor database. Factors used in creating this database include:

? Standardize shrink factors for free, partially, and fully restrained contractions
? Create the database by:
o Wax type
o Alloy
o Shell recipe
? Study effect of stucco/graphite etc. on shrink
? Look at capability of ProCast stress simulation for shrink modeling
? Tailor the data for use with different part families

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
? Currently working towards a Bachelors Degree in engineering
? Completion of sophomore year of college, preferred
? Previous internship experience, preferred
? Familiar with a variety of concepts within the field
? Must possess good communication and organizational skills
? Experience with project management
? Computer literacy is a must, including competency in general MS Office applications
