Exploring the Possibilities

Factors to Consider
  • Your personal and career goals
*The necessity of a graduate degree in your field/industry
    *Cost and time
Types of Degrees:
  • Master’s (MA, MS, MEd, MFA, MLS, MSW, MPH, etc.)
    *Law
  • Medical (MD, DO, PA, MAc, etc.)
    *Doctoral (PhD, EdD, PsyD)

Master’s degrees generally requires one full year up to a two year commitment. Some programs take longer if there is an internship or experiential learning requirement. On average, doctoral degrees take five to seven years and it is possible to enter a program without previous graduate experience.
