Although courses have been filled for the current term, applications are being accepted on an on-going basis from qualified individuals who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course by course basis in a wide variety of areas within the Schools of Arts and Humanities, Professional/Graduate Studies and Science and Social Sciences .

Arts and Humanities Adjunct Faculty

Qualifications: Master's degree in area of interest or related field, or equivalent experience. Teaching experience preferred.

Professional/Graduate Studies Adjunct Faculty

Elementary Education Adjunct Faculty

Keene State College seeks a part-time adjunct professor of elementary education for Spring Semester 2010. Position officially begins January 19, 2010. We are in need of an instructor with a Masters in Education or appropriately related field to teach Elementary Methods, which includes field work supervision.

Our department's Methods professors and instructors work closely as a team, and assist in the collection of assessment data for accreditation and program improvement. The desired candidate should demonstrate desire and ability to work cooperatively in planning and executing curriculum with other team members. In addition, the candidate should have experience teaching in grades K-8.

Sciences and Social Sciences Adjunct Faculty

Sociology Adjunct Faculty

Keene State College seeks full and/or part-time adjunct professor of sociology for Spring Semester 2010. Position officially begins January 19, 2010. We are in need of instructors with a Ph.D. in sociology or an advanced graduate student to teach any of several courses, including potentially: Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems, Research Methods, or Quantitative Analysis.

Our department works closely with the Anthropology program, and together we serve about 150 majors plus about 20-30 minors. The current Faculty consists of six full-time TT sociologists, two full-time TT anthropologists, and 6-8 full and part-time adjunct professors in sociology and anthropology. The department is housed in a modern, well-equipped building, and virtually all classrooms are equipped with the latest computing and projector technologies.
