Dr. Kirk Sanger
Dr. Sanger is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Keene State College. He has experience in Critical Care, Medical/Surgical, Psychiatric, Camp Nursing, and presently works in Corrections as a per diem RN. He currently teaches the following courses: Psychosocial Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Health and Society, Nursing Research, and an honors course titled, "Music and Health".
Dr. Sanger completed his PhD and BSN at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst with a focus on the treatment of addictions for those with a history of trauma and incarceration. Previously he completed a Masters degree in Modern American Music specializing in the Double Bass at the Longy School of Music of Bard College. He is an alum of Keene State College, class of 1997, with a BA in Counseling Psychology.
