Program Coordinator Biography
Catherine Workman, better known as Catt, joined the KSC community at the beginning of the 2024 as the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) grant coordinator. Catt has lived and worked in Keene since 2010 after moving from Boston, MA, where she grew up. While working in higher education is new to her, Catt has 20 years of experience as a social services specialist having worked with various populations. Catt’s experience has included providing support and case management to adults so that they may live meaningful lives and be good stewards of the community. She also has experience investigating cases of alleged self-neglect, neglect, abuse, and exploitation from her time working for the State of New Hampshire as an Adult Protective Service Worker.
In 2019, she earned her Master of Science degree in Forensic Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University to accompany her Bachelor of Science degrees in Sociology and Criminal Justice. Catt is also a graduate of Leadership New Hampshire, class of 2022.
As the OVW Grant Coordinator, Catt will engage with students on all matters of violence prevention. In addition to overseeing the federal OVW grant and ensuring compliance, Catt will focus on providing student programming on campus. She will work collaboratively with college and community partners to ensure a holistic approach.
In her spare time, Catt serves her community in a multitude of ways. She has been a Keene City Councilor since 2020 and serves on many community boards and committees, most notable as chair of the Monadnock Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Coalition; member of the Human Rights Committee, and member of the Historic District Commission.
