Anne Frank: The Whole Story

Starring: Ben Kingsley, Brenda Blethyn, Hannah Taylor Gordon. Based on Melissa Muller’s critically acclaimed book, the movie goes beyond the story you already know and paints the true portrait of Anne both before and after she went into hiding. The movie also explores the enduring mystery of who betrayed the Frank family and reveals what happened next. The film chronicles her persecution at the hands of the Nazis and their collaborators during World War II, from her family’s forced hiding in an Amsterdam attic to her time at Bergen-Belsen, where she died in March 1945.The Center rates this Anne Frank film highly as it gives a more complete story of Anne and the other victims in the "Hiding Place". (189 minutes)
