Nutrition Coaching Program
The Keene State College Nutrition Coaching program is a partnership between The Wellness Center, Healthy KSC, and the Keene State College Dietetic Internship. Trained nutrition coaches are available to facilitate free one-on-one, individualized coaching sessions for all enrolled KSC students and faculty/staff on a variety of topics. The Nutrition Coaching program is designed to meet you where you are, providing you with the support and resources necessary to feel confident reaching your health and wellness goals.
Number of sessions: 3-4 sessions (May vary)
Length of sessions: 45-60 minutes (May vary)
Session structure: Initial session will include a nutrition assessment and time to get to know each other and determine if nutrition coaching is a good fit for your needs. Follow up sessions will include goal setting, nutrition education, and skill building.
Topics may include:
- Meal prep on a budget
- Navigating the dining commons
- Balanced meals on the go
- Sport-specific nutrition
- Off-season fueling for student athletes
- Food allergies and intolerances*
- Eating on campus with a pre-existing medical condition*
- Many others …
Disclaimer: Nutrition coaches are supervised by a Registered Dietitian but they have a specific scope of practice as not yet registered or licensed themselves. Some pre-existing or recently diagnosed medical conditions, allergies or intolerances may be more appropriately supported by a Registered Dietitian or other health care practitioner. If this is the case, the program supervisor will provide the interested student or faculty/staff member with a list of local qualified providers that can help.
