Her Story: Screening and Talkback

Young Student Center - Mabel Brown Room
Wednesday, · -

Her Story is a new-media series that looks inside the dating lives of transgender and queer women as they navigate the intersections of desire and identity. There will be a screening of the series and then a talkback with several members of the cast and crew, including Jen Richards, Laura Zak, and Katherine Fisher. Please join us for this event and engage in dialogue about the day-to-day experience of transgender women beyond the narratives of mainstream culture, as well as in respect to writing and producing independent video media.

This event is in honor of Transgender Day of Visibility, which occurs annually on March 31st and aims to bring attention to the accomplishments of transgender people around the globe while fighting cissexism and transphobia by spreading knowledge of the transgender community.

All are welcome to this free event!

This event is made possible by Keene State College's Office of Multicultural Student Support, Department of Women's and Gender Studies, Counseling Center, KSC Pride, Campus Commission for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusiveness, and a KSC Pepsico Grant.
