Rethinking Canvas Discussions
Join Karen Haas (Education) and Kate Tirabassi (English, Center for Writing) as they talk about the multiple ways they use online discussion for deeper student engagement. A portion of the workshop will discuss how encouraging students to have online conversations about their reading and writing prior to classtime have brought classroom discussions and writing workshops to a deeper level. Kate will share her rationale for this approach and techniques she's used for facilitating these conversations via Canvas Discussions.
Following the discussion, Academic Technology will offer assistance to anyone who has questions about Canvas Discussions.
