The Color of Our Lives

Written by Keene State College Professor Céline Perron, this play is about discovering one’s true purpose in life, women’s resilience and the power of creativity. The story straddles two realities: Catherine McCarthy's journey from Ireland to Canada and Cáit's life in Montreal. The world of Catherine McCarthy throughout the years 1840–1919 is played by rod puppets. The characters in the world of Cáit are played by human characters. A shadow screen facilitates the transition between the two realities throughout the play. This performance features Keene State College students.
