What is Genocide?
Featuring Dr. Ashley Greene, Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Keene State College

We see the word "genocide" used a lot in our media and everyday lives. But how is this term actually defined and how can it be used operationally to understand ongoing events around the world? How is genocide different from other atrocity crimes such as crimes against humanity, war crimes, and slavery? This presentation will outline important definitions and examples with an eye toward the consequences of each category as well.
This event is hosted by the Cohen Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Keene State College. The event is free and open to all; however, you must register in order to join the webinar. Online registration is available here.
