Hypothesis is a freeonline tool designed for collaborative annotation across the web. Students can annotate web pages, pdfs andEPUB files and can be used in a variety of ways including:
- pose questions or seek clarifications about the author’s key ideas,
- call attention to a key phrase or premise,
- compare and contrast with other readings,
- challenge an author’s claims, evidence, assumptions, or perspective,
- propose an alternative idea,
- respond constructively to an annotation posted by another reader.
