KSC Seminar Series: Exploring Human Origins in Ethiopia: Recent Fieldwork and Travels

Putnam Science Center - Room 101
Wednesday, · -

Please join Dr. Chris Monahan for an overview of the Paleoanthropological research area of Gona, Ethiopia, which has yielded significant finds from as early as 2.5 million years ago up to the recent past. In additional to discussing new findings from deposits dating from the past 100,000 years, I will also describe working with the Afar nomadic pastoralists, who thrive in the desert environment of Gona.
