"Sidelining Science" - Lecture and Panel with Union of Concerned Scientists

Alumni Center - Norma Walker Hall (previously named Centennial Hall)
Wednesday, · -

In Washington, support for science is eroding. Opinions over-rule facts. Some are trying to permanently sideline science from the policy-making process.

  • How did we get here? Why does it matter? And what do we do about it?

Speakers Andrew Rosenberg (Union of Concerned Scientists) and Abigail Abrash Walton (Antioch University) will address just how serious the erosion is, scientists' beliefs and behaviors about the public policy process, and ways that scientists are mobilizing.

The speakers will then be joined by Jeremy Wilson (Harris Center) and Phil Suter (Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce) for a panel discussion.
