Consultation for Faculty and Staff
What is a “Consultation?”
Staff and faculty frequently contact the Counseling Center with questions and concerns about our students. Students’ lives are increasingly complicated which makes it all the more important that we work together as a community to support their success and well-being.
Call the Counseling Center anytime at (603) 358-2437. The Counseling Center staff will work with you to develop an appropriate plan to address the problem, whatever it is. Typically, staff or faculty call or stop by and ask for a consultation and one of our Counselors calls you back or will meet with you. Whether something seems just a little “off” about a student, or if you know that they are at significant risk, seek out support and advice. It will be best for the student and yourself to not carry this burden alone.
The Counseling Center staff are available to all staff and faculty for formal or informal consultation about students during our regular hours (8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday of academic semesters). During evenings and weekends we have an on-call service available to answer your questions at (603) 358-2436.
