Commencement 2008

Commencement 2008 will occur on Sunday, May 11, 2008. Procession is at 12:30 p.m. and Commencement begins at 1 p.m. Graduates will need to line up in the Spaulding Gym at 11:45 a.m.

Spring Honors Convocation

Spring Honors Convocation will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 10, in the Redfern Arts Center on Brickyard Pond. The Convocation recognizes excellence in student scholarship and leadership, the recipients of undergraduate Academic Honors (students graduating with a GPA of 3.5-4.0), the Leo F. Redfern Outstanding Citizen, Who’s Who recipients, and other academic honorees. (All dean’s list students are honored at the Fall Honors Convocation in September.)

Students receiving awards will be notified by letter approximately two weeks before the event. Families will also be invited. Academic regalia is required for students participating in the event. Check-in begins at 3:15 p.m. in the lobby of the Arts Center. The Redfern Arts Center is accessible to people with disabilities.

Commencement Ceremony

The Keene State College Commencement ceremony is held outdoors on Fiske Quad so that all family members and friends can attend, unless the ceremony is moved indoors due to inclement weather. Pets are not permitted, with the exception of service animals. Tickets are not necessary for Commencement unless weather forces it inside. Please turn off all cell phones and pagers during the ceremony.

Viewing Alternatives

The ceremony will also be broadcast on closed-circuit television in the Mabel Brown Room and in Morrison Hall.
