Summer Term FAQ

Registration begins Monday, February 16

Courses are listed in Student Planning as well as online.

When an online course doesn’t have dates and times listed, that means it will be offered asynchronously (you access course materials and complete assignments independently without the need to be online at the same time as the instructor and/or classmates). You won’t have formal class meeting times, so you can fit your coursework around a job or other summer plans.

We recommend that you discuss your selections with a faculty advisor or make an appointment with Student Academic Support Services [SASS: 603-358-2500 or ksc.sass@keene.edu].

There are three summer sessions:

  • Summer 1 is from May 26 to July 2.
  • Summer 2 is from July 8 to August 14.
  • Full Summer is from May 26 to August 14.

Yes. Online registration for matriculated students will be open on Monday, February 16.

Students that registered will receive billing notices from Student Accounts with a due date of April 24.

Summer housing is available to Keene State students for $200/week from May 26th to August 8th (students move to their Fall room assignments) and non-KSC students or recent graduates for $250/week. Please note that meal plans are not available. Please contact Community Living for more information (communityliving@keene.edu).

You can register by coming into the Registrar’s Office on the first floor of the Elliot Center. They are open Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

You will be able to view your schedule on Student Planning, as you do for fall and spring. Students will be billed through their QuikPay accounts starting in early April. Bills will be due April 25.

You are encouraged to speak with the department chair for the discipline in which the course you would like to take is offered and discuss the possibility of the course being offered or if there is an alternative option.

You should direct your internship questions to Career Services located on the first floor of the Elliot Center. They are open Monday - Friday, 8:30a.m. - 4:30p.m. They can also be reached by calling 603-358-2500 or by email (KSC.Career Services@keene.edu). Please arrange your internship and pay for your credits prior to starting work as credit cannot be received after the fact.

You may set up a payment plan to pay your Summer Session charges over three months. The enrollment fee is due when you set up your plan.

KSC matriculated students enrolled for at least 6 credits in the Summer may be eligible to receive a combination of federal and private loans and/or federal and institutional grants such as the Federal Pell Grant and the Keene Tuition Scholarship. Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis by the Office of Student Financial Services located in the Elliot Center. Please complete this form to apply for summer financial aid.

The Summer refund policy is as follows. [Note: A cost adjustment is a credit toward a balance owed.]

  • 100% - Before first class
  • 75% - Within days 1-3
  • 50% - Within days 4-14
  • No refund after day 14
