Major
Master the core skills every data analyst needs to succeed. Before you can tell a compelling data story, you must understand its language (statistics), navigate its tools (programming), access and manage information (databases), create clear visualizations (design), and communicate findings effectively (writing)—all through an ethical and responsible lens.
In this highly interdisciplinary program, you’ll learn from a range of talented professionals both in the classroom and out in the community. And you’ll be ready to apply data skills in a field that interests you through a second major or minor.
Minor
This interdisciplinary Minor prepares students to use data analysis within their careers. Students will develop their skills to evaluate and interpret data in order to make better-informed decisions. In addition, students will develop their visualization and communication skills.
The Minor’s selective elective courses provide an opportunity to apply the data analytic skills in a specific area of related interest.
