Recognizing that rugby is not a common sport in the United States, the club gives new members a solid introduction to this fast-paced game. No prior experience is necessary and in fact many of our members have never played the game before arriving at Keene State.
Competitive “A” and “B” sides are fielded in the fall and spring against opponents from a competitive Division III league including Plymouth State, Connecticut College, Franklin Pierce, Rhode Island College, and Wesleyan College and Eastern Connecticut State University.
The rugby club celebrated its 40th anniversary at Keene State in the fall 2012. Come join a tradition of hard-hitting excellence!
To inquire about joining the team and practice times, please e-mail the president, Christopher Sullivan, cullivan8@ksc.keene.edu.
All home games are played on Joyce Athletic Fields on campus – coming into Keene, turn onto Wyman Way off of Main Street and park in the farthest lot at the end of Wyman Way next to the Recreation Center/Spaulding Gym. Joyce Fields are across the river to the left of the parking lot.
Dogs and alcohol/drug consumption are prohibited on the athletic fields during club sport games.
