Summer Lifeguards Needed!
Recreational Sports is looking to hire certified lifeguards for the summer. Summer hours begin Monday, May 9. Hours may include Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; Monday-Thursday, 6:30-8 p.m.; and Monday & Wednesday, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Additional hours will become available once summer camps and programs begin. Interested applicants must have current lifeguard, first aid and CPR/AED certification.

The Recreational Sports department hires student workers for close to 100 positions.
Students who have experience in sports can be trained to officiate intramural sports or work as scorekeepers for intramural games. No prior experience is necessary.
Students certified to teach group fitness classes may be hired as cycling, yoga, kickboxing, Zumba, and hydrorobics instructors.
Students interested in a lifeguard position must have current certification in lifeguard training, first aid and CPR/AED and have prior experience lifeguarding.
- Students interested in a facility supervisor position must have current first aid and CPR/AED certification to cover the Recreation Center and indoor intramural games.
Students interested in applying for positions in Recreational Sports for the 2016-17 academic year, can do so at the Job Fair which will be held on the second day of classes in August. More information about our job openings and the job fair will be posted in early August. Students with work-study will be hired first. Student work crews will receive training and supervision for jobs. Those with student hourly and hourly authorizations may also be eligible for certain positions in Recreational Sports.
