The Counseling Center will be using the APPIC Application for Psychology Internship (AAPI) Form and will be participating in the APPIC matching program. The AAPI Form is available at APPI Online (http://appic.org/Match/About-The-APPIC-Match). The Keene State College Counseling Center Internship Program Code is 223811.
To participate in the APPIC matching program, you must be registered. If you have not already done so, you must obtain an Applicant Agreement Package from NMS and register for the matching program in order to be eligible to be matched to our program. You may request an Application Package from NMS through the matching program website at www.natmatch.com/psychintApplicants must be currently enrolled in a doctoral program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and have completed the relevant coursework in their program (minimum of three years) allowing them to begin a pre-doctoral internship starting in the month of August. The applicantâs educational program must be APA accredited or from a regionally-accredited, degree-granting institution in the United States that meets the academic requirements of New Hampshire law for a psychologist (see Mhp 302.02 of http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/rules/state_agencies/mhp300.html).
Applicants must have a minimum of 350 direct client hours and 800 hours of appropriate and adequate supervised counseling (practicum) experience by the start of internship, some of which being preferably at a college/university counseling center, though college/university experience is not mandatory. Applicants should be highly motivated and eager to learn. We seek individuals who can work independently yet enjoy the interaction and cohesion of a staff that values each of its members and relies on one another. Applicants should also possess interests, aptitudes, and/or experience that are consistent with requirements of the Counseling Centerâs mission, goals, and training program. An interest/experience with multi-cultural and diversity issues is essential. Applicants will be considered based on their previous academic and clinical experience and how well their clinical, supervisory, and career objectives match with those of the training program and clinical staff.

All received applications will be screened by the KSC Counseling Center staff and selected candidates will be invited for on-site interviews. Information obtained through the application materials and interviews with staff and interns will be used to determine the final selections. In addition, all offers of internship positions are contingent on receipt of a satisfactory background check.
