Designed for children entering first through eighth grades, this program combines equal parts fun and learning. Classes run July 9 - 13, July 16 - 20, July 23 - 27, and July 30 - August 3. Kids on Campus sessions run half a day for one week, either in the morning (9 am-noon) or afternoon (1-4 pm). Most classes are divided into three age groups, for students entering 1st-2nd grade, entering 3rd-5th grade, and entering 6th - 8th grade. For more information about classes or faculty, visit the Kids on Campus website

Four classes are now full:

  • Junior Chefs
  • Lego Engineering II Goes Green (week 3)
  • Lego Engineering I (week 1)
  • GPS, Geocaching, and Google Maps (week 3)

Three new classes have been added! These three new classes are not in the brochure:

Cooking Through the Rainbow
Stir, whisk, season, and most importantly, taste your way through the colors of the rainbow in this morning cooking camp! Taught by Keene State Dietetic Interns, students in this class will learn basic cooking techniques while gaining exposure to familiar and unknown fruits and vegetables. Young chefs will truly come to life in this dynamic cooking experience! Grades 3 - 5.  Mornings, July 9 - 13.

International Chefs
This more advanced cooking class discovers cuisine and technique from other countries. Students will learn ways to use local foods in exotic ways, explore flavor and fusion, and gain confidence in the kitchen. The International Chefs class will have the chefs in your family saying, Bon appetit! Grades 6 - 8.  Afternoons, July 9 - 13.

GPS and Geocaching for Juniors
Explore Keene State's campus and the surrounding streets using GPS handhelds to find hidden treasure. Create your own geocache and hide it for others to find.  Learn about mapping, geocaching, GPS and Google Earth while getting out in the fresh air and exploring our community.  Grades 3 - 5. Mornings, July 30 - August 3.

Camp Vision returns August 13 - 17, 2012.

Improving the Future for Children with Learning Differences

Camp Vision works to improve the self esteem of our campers through a mentoring relationship with our counselors who also have learning disabilities.

Further, art empowerment, independent learning projects, and outdoor activities help campers gain self esteem and self advocacy skills that are imperative to success both in and outside of the classroom.
