The 2016 Choreography Showcase

Under Dance Faculty member Cynthia McLaughlin’s direction eleven student choreographers direct their peers in an exciting evening of inspiring movement and motion. The Choreography Showcase is the culminating performance of students in Theatre and Dance Department’s 318 Research in Choreography course. Students spent the semester examining their choreographic “tendencies” and habits and pushed themselves to work in new creative ways. Each student began with a point of departure which has led them on a journey of surprising self-discovery and new approaches to the craft of choreography. This event is free and open to the public.
