The Dean of Students OfficeThe Dean of Students Office provides support to undergraduate and graduate students at Keene State College in their intellectual engagement, creativity, and preparation for responsible citizenship. The Dean pays special attention to the well-being and adjustment of the each member of the entering class into the Keene State community and in becoming familiar with our community’s principles, standards, and expectations. Services: The Dean of Students Office is the central coordination point for student concerns on campus such as advocacy for resolution of student problems and coordination of the leave of absence and withdrawal process. Access to the Dean is through both drop-in availability and scheduled appointments. The student advocacy role of this office provides students with a central office to which they can turn with problems for which they are unsure how to resolve. The Dean of Students hears student concerns and helps students understand the policies and procedures of the College in order to advance resolution of their concerns and/or refers students to the appropriate services. The Dean of Students frequently deals with students’ personal and/or family problems and acts as a liaison with both internal and external resources. Staff:Gail Zimmerman Ed.D.
