The Dean of Students OfficeThe Dean of Students Office, third floor Elliot Hall, is the central coordination point for student concerns on campus. The Dean provides support to students during their four years at Keene State College and pays special attention to the well-being and adjustment of the each member of the entering class. In collaboration with faculty members and colleagues, the Dean supports students in their engagement with the curriculum and in their overall educational experience at Keene State College. The Dean coordinates a variety of services for students including advocacy for the resolution of student problems and coordination of the leave of absence and withdrawal process. Access to the Dean is through both drop-in availability and scheduled appointments. The student advocacy role of this office provides students with a central location in Elliot Hall to which they can turn with problems they have been unable to resolve elsewhere. The Dean of Students will hear concerns and refer students to the appropriate services or will help them understand the policies and procedures of the College in order that they may find the help they are seeking. The Dean of Students frequently deals with personal and/or family problems and acts as a liaison with both internal and external resources. Staff:Gail Zimmerman Ed.D.
