Professor Traviss has expertise in environmental health and risk assessment, with a background in chemical engineering and safety, integrating both science and policy. Her graduate training included both natural science and social science aspects of Environmental Studies. She is currently engaging students in studies of exposures to particulate matter from the use of biodiesel fuels compared to petroleum diesel.
