Phones

Most faculty and staff at Keene State College have access to their own phones. These are given out by Enterprise Technology & Services. To request a phone for a new space, submit an IT request.

Placing Phone Calls from on-campus phones

Click here for information regarding the new changes for placing calls on your KSC phone.

In-State Calls (New Hampshire)

To complete all local calls, you will now need to dial 6 + area code + telephone number or 6 + 1 + area code + seven digit telephone number. This applies to all calls within your area code that are currently dialed with seven digits. Landline phones require 6 + 1 + 10-digit telephone number.

Out-Of-State Calls

Dial 6 + 1 + area code + seven digit telephone number

International Calls

Dial 6 + 011 + country code + city code + local number+#.

Inter-Campus calls

For KSC extensions, dial 8 + last 4 digits of their extension (i.e. 81234).

If you do not know the person’s extension, use the automated assistant by dialing 8-8000 and speak the person’s name you are trying to reach. It will automatically connect you. The KSC Directory option is also available on your phone.

Voice Mail

In general, each phone line that is used by an individual or department has a Voice Mailbox associated with it. Adjunct Faculty often only have a Mailbox assigned to them with no associated physical phone. To request a voice mailbox, please fill out this form.

Avaya is the voice message management system used at KSC. Avaya completes your missed calls and delivers a notification, related caller information, and other action links to the call recipient as an email. Notifications will be delivered via email therefore, the message light on your phone will not be lit. Some voicemail features include block caller, personal or built-in greeting/announcement options, out of office settings and more. KSC voicemail allows you to use your email or computer (or voice management portal) to accomplish the following tasks:

  • Listen to voicemails through your email.
  • Forward, reply, save, or delete emails and voicemails.
  • Receive missed call notifications in your email.
  • Send a voice message to a person via the voice management portal.
  • Log into the portal to change your spoken name or greetings.
  • Block a caller.

To learn more about the options available to you for your voicemail by downloading the Avaya and Telephone user guide.
