KSC Summer Session in Full Swing

KEENE, N.H., 05/29/09 - Summer is your opportunity to take a course through Keene State College’s Continuing Education and Extended Studies division.

Summer at KSC means courses in more than 30 different fields, including art, astronomy, education, management, American studies, computer science, film, special education, and theatre and dance that run during the week. It is 36 weeklong institutes, including a writers’ conference; a class on woodturning; and classes on hazard abatement, explosive dust evaluation, aviation safety, and other topics of interest to safety professionals; among others.

In addition to instruction in the classroom, KSC offers anywhere, anytime online certification in seven different fields. Taking about 18 months to complete, there are more than 150 offerings in health care, business, the skilled trades, software development, and management in which to earn a certificate.

Other online offerings run for six weeks and most cost $99. Courses in such areas as accounting, graphic design, health care, law, sales, and the web are among the offerings. Financial aid for these classes is available online (www.gatlineducation.com/loaninfo.htm).

Continuing Education also offers two summer day camps for children. Running from July 6 to 10, July 13 to 17, and July 20 to 24, Kids on Campus is for youth entering grades one through nine. Camp Vision, for children with learning differences, runs from August 17 to 21. Information on both camps is available online.
