Center for Health and Wellness

The Center for Health and Wellness is comprised of two areas: an acute care medical clinic and a wellness promotion office, which provide services and educational programs to students at Keene State College. We are an appointment based clinic and appointments can be scheduled by calling 358-2450. Students who chose to walk in to make an appointment may have an extended wait.

  • The Center for Health and Wellness is an acute care health facility charged with providing healthcare to the students of Keene State College. Recognizing that a true education engages the whole person, we value the importance of approaching wellness from a holistic perspective: to provide services that develop the physical, psychological, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual aspects of our students.

• Guiding Principles

  • The Center for Health and Wellness acknowledges that attaining optimal wellness is a lifelong process and that behavior change comes as a result of clear and consistent education and support. The skill bases needed to create optimal wellness are those we strive to implement in our daily work and develop in our students.

• Goals

  • • To provide quality holistic health care that will enable students to perform optimally, physically and mentally, to achieve their academic and intellectual potential and to minimize interruption in their pursuit of academic excellence.
    • To prepare students to be their own health advocates and informed consumers of appropriate services which will foster the development of the habits of mind and character that prepare them for productive lives and work.
    • To provide strong, effective health education programs that help students develop healthy lifestyles to enhance their growth and development as they “enter to learn, go forth to serve”.

• Your Responsibilities

  • Students are required to provide us with a completed immunization form, a copy of their most recent physical, and a Comprehensive Student Health and Disability report prior to registration as a Keene State College student. We expect you to keep us informed about any health-related problems.

• Your Rights

  • The KSC Center for Health and Wellness staff recognizes the basic rights of clients. We treat you with respect, consideration, and dignity. Complete confidentiality is maintained. We do not disclose any health-related information to anyone - including your parents - without your written permission. We will provide you with information regarding your medical problems and answer any questions you have. We encourage you to take an active part in your health care.
