An interest in language and argument structure unites my teaching, scholarship, and college service. My primary research interests are in philosophy of language, particularly in the role of context in the meaning and interpretation of indexicals. My research has been published in the scholarly journals Philosophical Studies and Mind & Language, as well as in The Routledge Companion to the Philosophy of Language and in an Instructor’s Manual of teaching resources. I earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Cornell in 2005, an M.A. in Philosophy from Cornell in 2003, and a B.A. from Smith College in 1998, with a major in Sociology and a minor in Philosophy. I joined the faculty at Keene State College in 2007.
